Tis the season to be jolly falalalalalalala.

Winter is here and it’s time to hit the slopes. Whether you ski, snowboard, or just love the snow, the re are many ski resorts that are filled with fresh powder and are waiting for the lovers of adventure to visit them.

Personally, my two favorite places to go skiing here in Greece are Parnassos Ski Center and 3-5 Pigadia Ski Center. Both places have a fantastic landscape and many slopes to choose from whether you are a beginner, an expert, or a freestyler. They also have beautiful chalets in the surrounding areas where one can stay for several nights and enjoy the snow as well as have a relaxing time in front of the fireplace.

What I love the most about going to the mountain and skiing down the beautiful powdery slopes, is that it gives you a sense of freedom and belonging. You become one with nature, and you feel as if you can do anything. The sense of risk and adrenaline is always there reminding you that you are indeed human, and that is also what pushes you to brake your limits and challenge yourself a lot more. The fresh, cold air is very refreshing and as you glide down the slopes you can feel it rushing through your skin, rejuvenating your every particle.

Even the hits you take are fun, even those that might lead to a more serious injury. They are memories of the time when you felt most alive. Memories that will stay with you forever. Memories that are built through time and will engrave a very dear place in your heart. And isn’t that the purpose of living? To live?

WELL YES IT IS. Life is about living it and creating memories that will last a lifetime. So hit the slopes and get moving. Do not waste time thinking what if, start doing the things you love no matter where they take you. The road might be difficult at first but the journey will stay with you forever, reminding you that you truly lived and that time was never wasted.
